Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August 1965, is an American actress. Her most well-known role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
