Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara is the proud recipient of many distinctions which include a Genie Award. She was named as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress while she was part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. She was a part of the principal cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara and Candy began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her writing in the Outstanding category for Variety Series. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
